Former President Clinton on Sunday in a speech before the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists Convention in Cleveland advocated changes in the U.S. health care system, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Clinton told the audience of 3,000 that private citizens need to band together to demand better health care. He suggested that the U.S. establish electronic health records, permit the purchase of lower-cost prescription drugs from Canada and seek ways to provide universal health care. He also spoke of his post-presidency health care work in the U.S., Brazil, Rwanda and India. "I've devoted the rest of my life to helping people make sure they live their dream, just as I did," Clinton said (Beras, Cleveland Plain Dealer, 8/7).
